About Nucleus
Nucleus was born of a necessity for footbag players to modify their own shoes. In order to have an edge in freestyle footbag, a player needs the proper equipment. This means the right bag, shoes, and apparel.
Sure, you can learn to do tricks with your bare feet and the cheap bags you buy anywhere. But it will take you ages to get a decent level of skill. Not to mention you might be so frustrated in the process and end up quitting.
While there are many good bags out there for this sport, there are only a few shoes that are suitable for footbag. Most players go out and buy regular athletic shoes, then modify them for freestyle footbag. The problem is that those shoes are usually not cheap either, and cutting and sewing your own shoes is not for everyone. You end up spending time, money, and run the risk of wearing shoes that were patched so badly, that laymen will think you can't afford to buy new shoes.
Nucleus was created to address the need that many players have: getting a good pair of footbag shoes without spending a fortune or the time to make it themselves.
So, whether you’re just starting out in this amazing sport, or a veteran who just don’t have the time to modify your ownshoes, Nucleus is right for you.
Queency Mateo is a business entrepeneur who specializes in assisting start-up business take off and prosper. Being a footbag player herself, she saw an unmet demand of players who wanted to have a good pair of shoes for kicking, but didn’t want to spend the money or hours that goes into modifying your own shoes. After a lot of research and talking to footbag players all over the world, she partnered with Richard Abshire to create Nucleus.
